MUCH MOVEMENT

roject based on the study of mechanical operators : pulleys and eccentric. It is the brainchild of Carlos Guerrero Martínez .
class
We're going to try to design and build a similar project, this work is going to do with the courses of 2 and 3 Right.

eccentric pulleys and we are going to make with cardboard and each student has to make three different size pulleys. All pulleys made use those are well made, discarding those that are not . How to Make a pulley?

General Theory

A pulley is a simple machine used to transmit a force. This is a wheel, usually solid ribbed edge, which, in the course of a rope or cable that passes through the channel ("throat"), is used as the transmission element to change the direction of motion in machines and mechanisms. In addition, joint-forming equipment or hoists, serves to reduce the magnitude the force required to move a weight. Equipment needed

  • Carton (which is compact).
  • brass bushings.
  • M4 Stud.
  • M4 nuts and washers.
  • White glue for wood.
  • Rubber Bands of different lengths (10, 12 and 14 cm).
  • round wooden rod (6mm).
  • Tablex 3mm (you can use any material, including cardboard). Tools

  • hacksaw.
  • Drill. Lima
  • round.
  • Scissors.
  • Cutter.
Construction operators

1 .- produce an eccentric and he put a crank near the outside edge.

2 .- manufacture two identical brackets cardboard

3 .- Once we have the two media, we make a hole using a 5mm drill, this hole is necessary to introduce cap brass and then paste the brackets as shown in the following image.

4 .- Cut a piece of rod threaded 10 cm.

5 .- began to mount the system on the basis of tablex .

The first part of the project is an eccentric with a handle, a shaft and a pulley, then we will mount the first transmission system of pulleys and belt. General Theory

A transmission system is a mechanism used to communicate motion from one shaft to another. This can be achieved in several ways:

.- By gears : These mechanisms are formed by wheels or bars that have teeth and are connected to each other, so that, when turning or moving one, the other rotates or moves in another direction.

There are four basic types of gears: straight wheel, bevel, rack and pinion and worm. Each is used to get a different effect.

.- By sprockets and chain: These mechanisms are composed of two gears that are connected by a chain that engages the teeth of the wheels.
serve to connect two shafts that are remote.

.- Using pulleys and belt: These mechanisms consist of two or more pulleys, connected by two to two flexible straps.
are used, as well as sprockets and chain, to connect two shafts that are remote.
Changing the position of the pulley can change the direction of rotation.

6 .- The first drive system is made up: on two supports made of cardboard, which in its upper part we have made a hole with a 5mm drill after introducing a cap on those holes Brass (its mission is to reduce friction and wear of cardboard), threaded rod 10 cm long and two pulleys of different diameters.

Once assembled and tested system that works properly, that is, it does not get any gum the two pulleys, we've built the system a decorative element.

We will be incorporating the new system, axles and pulleys to complete our machine ....

Work proposal

Design and construct an object that can raise and lower loads. The object in question must incorporate a gearbox pulley.

design object as we have done using motion transmission system a pulley and belt system. We made a double pulley:
  • is a pulley that has the axis of solidarity, that is, a pulley which, when the shaft rotates, so does the pulley.

In this first image the two pulleys are of 10mm plywood and placed together.

other system in the pulleys are separated, we have built a plywood of 10mm and the other with two nuts, two washers and a brass cap.

addition the system incorporates a gearbox pulley is called pulley reducing an operator comprising a motor and a double pulley belts are joined by our case but in other systems can be linked by gears or chains.

This system is used to transform the fast motion and low force, the motor in moving slower but with greater force, pulley.

The electrical circuit incorporating the system is a key crossing. This circuit will allow us to select the direction of rotation. In the next image you can see the circuit and wiring diagram.

Materials needed
  • Agglomerate 10mm for the base.
  • fir slat 1 * 1 cm in profile.
  • 10mm plywood.
  • M4 Stud.
  • M4 nuts and washers.
  • fine conductor wire.
  • 1.5 mm wire.
  • DC motor. Stack
  • flask.
  • thread or thin rope. Brass Cap

Tools used
  • Drill and outer ring.
  • keyhole.
  • electric welder. Lima
  • round and flat.
  • melt gun.
MANUFACTURING PROCESS

  1. You build a pulley. The size of this block depends on the load we want to raise: the higher the load, the greater will be the radius of the pulley.
  2. pulley is placed on supports that are capable of withstanding the load will increase.
  3. electric motor is installed, taking into account that:
  • The rubber band can not be very tense because the engine will cost you more work to turn the pulley.
  • The rubber band can not be little tense, since the motor pulley will slip and not move.
Once we know what position the engine so that the rubber does not skip, stick the engine using hot melt gun.

FLETCHER

Fletcher Tangram: Puzzle 7 pieces (four isosceles triangles of two different sizes, two different square and a parallelogram) obtained by sectioning a square .

His image is as follows:

Making this tangram have followed the same steps as for the Chinese tangram .

We used the following template: dimensiones12 * 12 cm and grid 3 * 3 cm.

The tangram has the disadvantage that can not form animal shapes, objects and people, with the facilities offered by the Chinese tangram.

The following image contains four figures formed with tri-fold pieces of the tangram.

The result of our work can be seen in the following photos:
